I am a Full Professor of audio signal processing and Vice Dean for Research at Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. My research team belongs to the Aalto Acoustics Lab. I teach courses of audio signal processing. I am supervising Master's and doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers, who are specializing in audio technology. My research interests include headset and loudspeaker signal processing, machine learning for audio processing, audio effects procesing, sound synthesis, equalizing filters, and reverberation algorithms. I am a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and the IEEE. I was the general chair of the Sound and Music Computing Conference SMC-17 and of the DAFX-08 conference. I am a Senior Area Editor of the IEEE/ACM Trans. Audio, Speech, and Language Processing. I am also a Guest Editor of the Digital Audio Effects DAFX special issue for Applied Sciences.
