Themistoklis Charalambous received his B.A. and M.Eng. in Electrical and Information Sciences from Cambridge University in 2005. He pursued his Ph.D. in the Control Laboratory, of the Engineering Department, Cambridge University in 2010. He worked as a research associate at Imperial College London, as a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, and as a post-doctoral researcher at the Automatic Control Lab of the School of Electrical Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and at the Department of Signals and Systems at Chalmers University of Technology. From January 2017 until June 2020, he was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Aalto University. From July 2020 until August 2021, he was a tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Aalto University. Since September 2021, he is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Aalto University and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus.
