I started my PhD in Feb. 2017 and the focus of my research activities (from MSc and afterwards), was/is on remote sensing of ecosystem dynamics.
I did my master with focus on exploring and monitoring abrupt changes in real-world ecosystems to characterise regime shifts using time series of satellite images in 2014. Then, based on the research proposal that I wrote, I was successful to get 9 months research grant from CIMO program in Finland to conduct the research at Aalto University in late of 2015.
Afterward, I applied for a competitive 4 years PhD grant by writing a proposal in Aalto University, for which I was successful and therefore, I am enrolled in the Aalto University as a PhD from Feb. 2017. My doctoral research at Aalto is in remote sensing of forests dynamic. My Particular interest is in monitoring and quantifying ecosystem functioning that is under stress of natural (e.g. climate change) and anthropogenic disturbances using time series of satellite images.
