My aim is to produce knowledge of how organizations can operate more sustainably. I believe that solving large
societal challenges such as climate change call for new types collective action between businesses and other sectors. I focus especially on organizational perspectives to sustainability, for instance by studying new types of inter-organizational partnerships that are addressing sustainability issues and understanding the institutions and governance structures that affect sustainability transitions. I also have a particular interest in the transitions towards circular economy and renewable energy production.
My research has appeared in some of the leading journals in the field, such as Organization Studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Cleaner Production and Industrial Marketing Management. My studies have also been recognized with several awards in the largest conferences of the field. Prior to my current position, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Aalto University as well as a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
I specialize in collaborative research projects with organizations, where the aim is to generate new managerial insights in addition to academic knowledge. I am also keen on helping businesses transition towards sustainability through workshops and consulting projects. It is important for me to produce knowledge that is grounded in managerial practice.
Teaching the next generation of managers about sustainability management is also a critical part of my work. I aim to help my students develop skills to understand sustainability within the business environment and give them the tools to act as change-makers in their working and everyday lives.
