I am Research fellow in the Secure Systems Research Group at Aalto University and a Senior data scientist in the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AICE) at F-Secure Corporation. Currently, my work focuses on designing novel application of Machine Learning to improve system and network security as well as designing solution to improve the security of Machine Learning based system. My interests lie in web security, network security, machine learning and intrusion detection techniques.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University in the Secure Systems Research Group. I am involved in the Intel Collaborative Research Institute for Secure Computing (ICRI-SC) where i work on innovative techniques for website content classification, phishing websites detection and protection of cloud communications. My interests lie in web security, network security, machine learning and intrusion detection techniques.
I received the engineering degree and M.Sc. degree in computer science in 2011 from TELECOM Nancy, France. I received the Ph.D. degree jointly from the University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg and the University of Lorraine, France, in 2015. I conducted my doctoral research at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) in Luxembourg. I work mostly on network traffic analysis and usage of machine learning techniques, natural language processing to improve security. I applied these techniques to detect malicious domain names involved in botnet communications and phishing attacks.
