Robert is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute of Strategy and Venturing at Aalto University School of Science.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Strategic Management and Public Policy in the context of the determinants and outcomes of innovation and entrepreneurship.
My doctoral research focused on the effects of technological- and inter-organizational search - as well as their interaction with the characteristics of exchanged knowledge - on the speed of innovation (i.e. time-to-market).
Robert's research on innovation has been published in Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal and Scientometrics.
Robert is a doctoral student in Institute of Strategy and Venturing at Aalto University School of Science.
He is in the final phases of completing his doctoral dissertation. His doctoral research focuses on the effects of technological- and inter-organizational search - as well as their interaction with the characteristics of exchanged knowledge - on the speed of innovation (i.e. time-to-market). His empirical research setting is the innovation processes of Finnish manufacturing firms.

Robert, a Dutch native, holds a M.Sc. (Economics and Geography) from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He has previously worked as a Senior Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland (Innovation, Economy and Policy and Quantitative Science and Technology Studies Teams). During the 2009/2010 academic year, Robert was a Visiting Scholar at the Stern School of Business at New York University.
