I received my D.Sc. (Tech) degree in digital signal processing from Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland, in 1995. From 1995 to 2001, I worked at Nokia Research Center as a Senior Research Engineer. Later on, 2006-2008 I was a Visiting Fellow at the same place. In 2002, I joined Department of Signal Processing, then at Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. Nowadays it is Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics, Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering, and I'm a full professor since 2008. I'm a co-founder of Fairspectrum Ltd. doing tools for dynamic spectrum access.
My research interests are centered around digital signal processing techniques for wireless communication systems, usually falling into physical layer in the protocol stack.
