Mohamed M. F. Darwish was born in Cairo, Egypt in May 1989. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, Cairo, Egypt, in May 2011, June 2014, and January 2018, respectively. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, Cairo, Egypt. From 2016 to 2017, he joined Aalto University as a Doctoral Candidate student in the Electrical Engineering and Automation Department, with Prof. M. Lehtonen's group. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the School of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. His fields of interest include HV polymer nanocomposites, nano-fluids, partial discharge detection, pipeline induced voltages, electromagnetic fields, dissolved gas analysis, renewables, control systems, optimization, IoT, applied machine learning, Industry 4.0, and superconducting materials. He received the best Ph.D. thesis prize that serves industrial life and society all over the Benha University staff for the academic year 2018/2019. Since 2021, he has been a Topic Editor in Catalysts Journal (MDPI) and a Guest Editor of a special issue in the same journal.

Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor with the department of electrical power and machines
engineering, faculty of engineering at Shoubra–Benha University–Cairo–Egypt. In the end of 2016, he joined Aalto University as a doctoral candidate student in the EEA department, for 6 months, with Prof. M. Lehtonen's group. His fields of interest include polymer nanocomposites, nano-fluids, high voltage testing, partial discharge detection, pipeline induced voltages, grounding systems and super conducting materials. He received the best Ph.D. thesis prize that serves the industrial life and society all over the Benha University staff for the academic year 2018/2019.
