I am doing my doctoral thesis and working as an acting laboratory manager for Aalto Ice Tank. The doctoral thesis focuses on ice-induced loads on the ship hull. Thus, I have general interest on ice-induced loads on the ship hull, structural response, ships performance in ice and ice conditions. I have been conducting full-scale measurements on board different vessels and ice field in the Baltic Sea, Canadian Arctic and Antarctic waters. Besides full-scale measurements, I am also interested in model scale testing in ice from the ship's perspective and the model scale ice itself.
