My research interests go in circles around User-Centered Design of new product or service concepts, especially how to involve users to the design process. My take on design is equally user and technology driven.
My PhD thesis considered the necessary knowledge and skills for succesfull design practices and it described a UCD Competency Model with practical tools to evaluate potential strengths and shortcomings in projects and the teams executing the design activities.
I teach User-Centred Design and instruct B.Sc. , M.Sc. and Lic.Sc. theses.
I lead the EIT Digital Master School's Human-Computer Interaction and Design (HCID) master's programme.
