My research focuses on sustainability in higher engineering education, specifically in the field of water and environmental engineering. I'm interested in the transfer phase from master's studies to working life: what is the role of graduates in transitioning towards more sustainable practices and a more sustainable society? What are the central sustainability competencies for engineers from research, working life and graduates' perspectives? I also teach sustainability-related topics in the Water and Environmental Engineering Master's Programme. Part of my time is dedicated to Aalto Co-Educator Team (ACE). In practice, I facilitate Aalto's teachers to integrate sustainability in their own courses through co-planning, co-teaching and a pedagogical course Sustainability in Teaching.
