I conduct my Doctoral research in the field of Art and Desing Learning in Aalto
University, Finland. I am part of Aalto Media Lab’s Learning Environments Research
Group (LeGroup) that is involved in research, design and development of New Media tools, as well as their use and application, in the field of learning.
My study focuses on learning with digital technologies, develops participatory learning environments, and promotes creativity and student-oriented practicies through empirical design
projects. Design-based research and Grounded Theory approaces are employed to
implement educational design experiments. Future-learning and 21st century skills are key aspects that are highlighted in the study.

I have experience as an educational designer as a freelancer, with the public sector, teacher
education, and learning material and learning environment development, e.g.
designing Makerspaces and design pedagogy for schools in Helsinki area.
My career as a visual artist and a designer in exhibitions, community art and public art commissions, has brought me to collaborate with multiple stakeholders: architects, construction
companies, city officials, schools, museums, curators, as well as the various
audiences and communities they engage with. In my work, there is a social
emphasis on sharing, collaboration, and participation. Through many projects, I
