I am a financial economist conducting empirical research primarily in (a) the intersection of asset pricing and behavioral finance and (b) market microstructure. For (a), I investigate market abnormalities in the Finnish stock market, exploring a possible link between abnormal returns and distinctive trading patterns or behaviors of various types of investors. On (b), my research is focused mostly on inter-market competition in the US stock market, tackling how different types of trading venues compete one another and how it affects overall quality of consolidated limit order book.
As a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, I primarily work with Matti Keloharju on a variety of topics in finance in the form of empirical studies. Before joining Aalto, I received Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University under supervision of Bruce Mizrach (advisor), Roger Klein, and Norman R. Swanson, where I majored in empirical market microstructure and applied econometrics.
My research interests lie broadly in market microstructure and financial economics. I am also an applied econometrician with current focus on applications of machine learning for causal inference.
