In my work, I explore the relations of learning and technology. In particular, I’m interested in supporting transversal skills like critical reflection and learning to learn through technology design. To this aim, I have adopted a multidisciplinary approach that builds on science and technology studies, collaborative and constructive design, media studies, as well as on learning and education. I'm interested in how can information visualization support reflection and sense-making. I like creating and interpreting images, learning and finding creative uses of technology. But overall, I think is crucial to think critically. In this sense, I'm convinced that infovis can be a powerful tool to develop critical thinking.
Besides this... I like sports, drawing, writing, talking and trying and learning new things. Currently, some of the things I'm trying to learn: suomi, knitting and cross-country skiing
A note... from April until July 2014, I'm doing a stay at the Graduate School of Design, Kyushu University (Japan) as part of my doctoral studies.
