David received his B. Eng. on Industrial Electronics and Automation (2015) from the University of Leon, Spain. Then, he obtained a M.Sc. in Automation and Robotics (2017) from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain.
He carried out his Master Thesis at CERN (2016), where he worked as a Technical Student (2017-2018) after graduating from the Master. During his stay at CERN, his research focused on mobile robots and autonomous navigation. He also worked on the development of a mobile robotic platform for inspection tasks.
On February 2018, he joined Dyson New Product Development group. At Dyson, he worked on the design and integration of algorithms, as well as mobile robotic systems analysis.
David joined the Intelligent Robotics group at Aalto University on March 2019 as a Research Assistant. From May 2019, David is a Doctoral Candidate focusing his research on data-efficient reinforcement learning and its application to robotic manipulation.
