I’ve led the chair of Housing Design since 2021. My research and teaching in Aalto focus on Circular Design and resident-driven, low-carbon housing concepts.
Assistant Professor Antti Lehto has led the chair of Housing Design since 2021. His
research and teaching in Aalto focus on Circular Design and resident-driven, low-carbon
housing concepts. Previously he has worked both in the academic world and in practice.
He’s one of the three founding partners at the architectural office INARO, which aims at
sustainability by the holistic interweaving of architectural and landscape
design with other areas of expertise, such as energy engineering and structural
design. In recognition of his work, he’s been placed in more than 20 Finnish and international architectural design
competitions, and in 2014, the studio received the Pietilä young architects’
award.
Antti Lehto graduated from the Technical University of Helsinki in 1998. Previously he has taught
at the Technical University of Helsinki (1998-99), Tampere University of Technology (2001-11), and Aalto University (2011-18).
