I teach & organise courses related to sound and music together with our sound and audio researchers (SOPI), and manage and plan the Sound in New Media MA studies. I co-operate with "sound colleagues" at University of the Arts Helsinki (SibA, TEAK, KuvA) and abroad - and within Aalto University (e.g. Acoustics Lab). I tutor students in regards of their personal study plans and career planning. I supervise and advise Master's Theses related to sound & music. I do my best to keep in touch with our alumni, wherever they are.

Background
My background is in the practice of music and sound design. I'm especially interested in public soundscapes and the impact of digitalisation in them. As composer and artist my focus is in the materiality and gestures of music and sound. I have worked as a composer, sound designer, sound engineer and producer in wide range of projects, productions and companies since early 1980's. I've played keyboards in several rock, pop and experimental bands. I've teached related topics (music technology, sound design, composition, history of music etc) from early 1990's onwards in several schools and universities. I did my MA at Aalto University School of Art and Design Department of Art and Media Pori, including minor subject studies at Sibelius Academy Centre for Music and Technology.
