Reuse of sufficiently treated and safe wastewater is one of the limited possibilities to fight increasing urban water shortages. I am working on research projects related to sustainable water treatment under cold climate conditions, using advanced wastewater treatment technologies and molecular ecology tools for the removal of emerging pollutants and antibiotic resistance.
