June 2018–Present, Aalto University, Espoo, Finland
My field of research, predictive multifluid modelling of fusion plasmas, requires advanced understanding of plasma physics, fluid dynamics, and the tools and codes used within the field. My tasks require me to conduct independent research, and collaboratively assess the results with the international fusion community.
May 2014–May 2018, Aalto University, Espoo, Finland
Two summer internships provided me with insight into different fields of physics and an interest for the field of fusion technology. I have worked part time at the Fusion and plasma physics group since the second internship, writing my master’s thesis and contributions to scientific journals. I have gained experience of international scientific collaboration by staying a total of two months at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and at General Atomics in California,USA.
May–August 2013, Mervento, Vaasa, Finland
I verified the Mervento 3.6MW wind turbine by IEC standards using the LMS Samtech Samcef software. I became familiar with international standards. A two-week training at Samtech in Barcelona, Spain, provided me with experience of using the software and of independent work in foreign environments.
